Spanish summer culture course - Everyday spoken spanish
Oral Spanish in everyday situations (45 h)
During the sessions, students will have the opportunity to learn about the everyday social, economic and cultural realities of Barcelona in a practical manner. The topics covered in these sessions will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of life in Barcelona. Each session will focus on relevant communication functions and language elements specific to the topic at hand. Texts and audiovisual material will be used to enhance oral expression in the classroom.
Minimum level of Spanish language required: Beginner

Attendance and participation in class: 20%
First mid-term examination: 40%
Second mid-term examination: 40%

o Making purchases in a shop, market, fair, etc.
o Describe and assess the product or item of clothing
o Communicate what you want.
o Ask for and give information about the prices of food or other products.
• Spanish and Latin-American cuisine. Eating tapas

o Ask for and give information about a dish. Order food.
o Say the names of objects and foods in a restaurant, bar or cafeteria.
• Popular festivals and holidays

o Discuss which festival/holiday is more/less important.
